If there was music like this on the radio nowadays, I'd actually listen to something other than NPR, but unfortunately there's not. Thankfully we have the Internet.
TV Girl is a band whose sound is one that even your grandparents would enjoy -- their retro vibe brings you back and immediately strikes comparisons to the Beach Boys and other bands that have utilized the mass appeal of surf pop to their advantage. "It Evaporates" is the first viral hit off of their newest EP The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle Mixtape which was premiered through Stereogum a few days ago.
A perfect accompaniment to the transitionally bipolar weather we're all experiencing this spring, TV Girl is a an excellent backdrop for almost any occasion.
