What's so good?

A friend of mine sent me this track a couple of days ago and I'm only just getting to it now. This particular friend has pretty good taste in music, so I usually pay attention, but I get a lot of music sent to me and probably let great music slip through the cracks on occasion. Not this one, though.

Brisbane artist Tim Bettinson recently launched his solo project, Vancouver Sleep Clinic, with first single "Vapour" a pretty decent way to announce yourself. Channeling acts like Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes (you can do a lot on a computer these days), Bettinson's production work is excellent, creating an icy landscape which acts as a perfect platform for his stunning falsetto vocals.

The only problem for Vancouver Sleep Clinic is working out how to follow-up such a wonderful debut! I will be eagerly anticipating his next release.
