Sounds like: Two Door Cinema Club, The Temper Trap, Vampire Weekend

What's so good?

Young Dreams’ “First Days Of Something” might as well be called “First Days of Summer.” The Norwegian indie pop group produces a breezy, effortless sense of joy, and the sun-soaked, melodic hook is reminiscent of the irresistibility of Two Door Cinema Club’s past hits. The emotive strings provide a surprise ending.

In a chat with Interview Magazine, the “defacto leader” of the band’s many members, Matias Tellez, tell us about the groups inspiration:

“Young Dreams, the name, is like an American thing that was invented in the ’50s. Before the ’50s, you were a kid, and then you were an adult. Now, though, you can stop for a while and think about what you want to be when you grow up. That pause in between. Do I want to be a lawyer? Do I want to be a poet? During that time, you get all these “young dreams” about the world.”

“First Days Of Something” is the second official single off Young Dreams’ forthcoming debut album, Between Places. The single and remixes debuted this week, and are available for your listening pleasure and purchase on Beatport. Show the group some love over on Facebook.
