Not my normal cup-of-tea these days, but something about the energy behind WaTa's remix of "Slow It Down" managed to reel me in.
The original version of the song is true to its name - a slow and easy-going neo-soul single with jazzy undertones and, well, a really chill vibe.
WaTa picks up the pace a whole lot, crafting a song that really does very little to respect the original's tempo. And I dig that. Upbeat is cool in my book, though that's not to say the original isn't dope in its own right.
