Why do we like this?

A question was posed. It read:

"Where am I heading? What seas, what shores, what grey rocks, and what islands...?"

In answering, the first step was to use thought -- the realm where all storyline lives. It is there where love, and oceans, and loss, and rocks all reside. And it is there where this 'I' heads 'there'. Sometimes the seas are turbulent and we are pulled down to the dark waters of intense emotions; sometimes they are calm and we float in the warm glow of the sun.

Sometimes we sit atop a mountainside and watch our loved ones trying to swim. This is where the inspiration for "Deserve" struck Abrahamblue, written as he watched a friend's deteriorating relationship.

The next phase of the answer, however, comes through Listening. Listening to the heart -- both the lion of the heart as well as its tender sadness. We listen deeply. It is in this realm where we can pose a new question:

"What is [insert anything here, for example 'love' or 'loss'] in Listening?"

This question silences the answer, and through it, we have found our boat on which we may sail this ocean of existence. Now, with some reprieve.

"Deserve" marks the third single from Abraham Blue's upcoming debut EP, Tracks I Made Last Summer, due for release on October 23rd. We previously featured "Can't Keep Up" so if you like this, be sure to give it a listen.
