Why do we like this?

With great melody comes great responsibility. Rising Scotland-based singer Ali Robertson is adapting quickly to his Spidey-senses. His last single "Something About You" sat on top of our popular chart for what felt like two weeks.

I first met Ali when he was fronting a band called Mosco. I knew way back in the day, OK, 2013, I knew in 2013 that Robertson had something to say, and perhaps more importantly, presence. His music is intimate, immediate, feels closer than most of what's coming through my earbuds.
