Why do we like this?

To celebrate her birthday today, Alicia Keys has released new track "That's What's Up."

Sampling Kanye West's The Life Of Pablo track, "Low Lights" (which in turn samples the acapella version of 2004 track “So Alive” by Kings of Tomorrow, a pseudonym for producer Sandy Rivera), the singer gives thanks for her life, singing "I'm so blessed, I'm so blessed."

While this might be a one-off, it's another demonstration of Keys immense vocal talent. Her 2016 album, Here, was the best record Keys has released in years, and if she continues to create music as moving and motivated as she has this past year, Keys will certify herself as one of musics greatest talents.
