“Better and Better” literally gets better and better the more you listen. Starting off slow and pretty with sparse instrumentation and floaty, dreamy falsetto vocals, the track quickly gains power, tempo, and drive with the addition of percussion, an alto backing vocal, and rhythmic guitars.
It’s an indie-pop daydream with a dash of nu-disco that’s vocally driven and reminiscent of nostalgic days spent spinning round in daisy fields as the sun shines down from overhead and warms your skin, your heart, and your soul. Man, I miss Summer, can you tell?
There’s a definite raw edge to this track that prevents it from being sticky-sweet and instead propels it into the general sphere of emotive dance in a super fun way.
