Why do we like this?
Spooky and weird but in all the right ways, "La Lorna" is a beacon for the rest of the world. These two virtuosos are making their names stand out in a tide of new South African music.
Fitting the spooky nature of this track, La Llorna is representative of a Hispanic legend in which a woman, Maria, drowns her children to be with the man that she loved. At about this point I closed the article I was reading because I actually started crying.
Warning: combining listening to this song and reading folklore stories about La Llorna is a total emotional overload, and you should just stick to the music.
