Sydney-based DJ/vocalist Anna Lunoe is a busy young woman. She's DJed with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk and Lupe Fiasco, provided musical direction for Louis Vuiton and Hugo Boss, and put on numerous club events with her DJ Crew - Hoops. Sydney Magazine also named her among their 100 most influential people list in 2010.
She's just released an EP, Real Talk, on which she's enlisted a number of musical friends. The standout single is "I Met You," her collaboration with up-and-coming Sydney producer Flume, who rose to prominence after being uncovered during FBI's Northern Lights Competition in 2011.
"I Met You" is typical of both Lunoe and Flume, well-produced and smooth. Known more from her DJ work, Lunoe's vocals are a welcome surprise, while Flume provides his characteristic groove-laden flows and staggered-cuts. This is definitely one for summer.
