Why do we like this?
Well, I certainly wasn't expecting any new material from London's mystery man Astronomyy this soon, but "Thing's I'd Do For You" has me singing this lad's praises. I didn't pick this up in the first single, but the styling of this particular track is so much like The xx, it's quite extraordinary.
I've been sitting back in my room absolutely entranced by the sumptuous guitar melodies on display here. This Londoner is a truly gifted multi-instrumentalist, with his voice being the most valuable instrument of them all. The lyrics flow effortlessly off his tongue -- it's definitely a one-of-a-kind listening experience in my books.
Hopefully next time I'll have some concrete info on Astronomyy, but until then this single should keep you happy.
