Why do we like this?
Southern California indie rock band Bad Suns formed in 2012, and while they might only have two songs out, I'd put those tracks in a playlist with Two Door Cinema Club or St. Lucia any day.

Aside from being groovy and simply catchy, lead singer Christo Bowman does a good job mixing up and down his pitch, creating a balanced tune on "Salt."  Bad Suns sound like what you would get if you had an American version of Two Door Cinema Club or Peace.

"Salt" is the second track from their upcoming Transpose EP that is due out January 21, 2014 via Vagrant Records.  The EP is a prelude to the full-length album expected later in 2014, which also was recorded with producer Eric Palmquist (The Mars Volta, Wavves, Trash Talk) -- not too shabby.

If you like what you hear, be sure to catch their first single, "Cardiac Arrest."
