Balming Tiger

South Korean collective Balming Tiger pumps up the quirk and vibes with "Oui" a bass guitar character piece with all the charm. Balming Tiger is somewhat of an enigma when it comes to genre, describing themselves as a K-Pop collective, but dropping tracks that not only experiment beyond the fun sentimentalities of that genre, but also smashes it into a mold of Jazz,Funk and soft rock ideas. "Oui" is is the greatest example of this so far, a recent single from their concept album, Gongbu, the track is heavy on the bass string, fun character play with vocals, and then about halfway through it all just cuts out into a prog rock lament, it's experimental, vast and fun. Balming TIger has my attention and I can't wait for these crazy scientists to throw more paint against the wall.
