Why do we like this?

"Welcome To The Party" is the intro track to Bambu's newest LP, Party Worker, a concept album revolving around a fictional grassroots peoples' organization.

Woven together by interludes that play off typical keystones of organizing meetings, including a few inside jokes for those in the know, Bam cleverly and enjoyably explores the intersections between low-wage work, police violence, racist immigration policies, misogyny, and hip-hop.

The wisdom is delivered with the intensity and focus of an early Ice Cube, true gangster music. This March, those in Seattle, L.A. and Oakland can catch Bam and DJ Phatrick presenting a live show specially designed around the album.
