Came across the latest single from London-based Bedlam last week. Not quite sure what exactly Bedlam is -- coverage on other blogs seems to be inconsistent as to whether the name encapsulates a producer, or a duo, or a collaborative project.
Either way, “It’s Not Me” is a great future R&B track, reminding me of the edgy sound which young up-and-comers Jorja Smith and Raye have adopted. (I actually feel like the unnamed vocalist might just be Raye?)
Stark, minimal production with darker synthy undertones lead the track, which is the first taste of a forthcoming 6-track self-titled EP.
