Fresh off his split with Zooey Deschanel, Death Cab For Cutie's frontman Ben Gibbard is gearing up to release his solo album Former Lives. "Teardrop Windows" is the first single to be released.Supposedly written about Seattle's Smith Tower, I instead find myself walking away feeling like Mr. Gibbard must be quite sad. I don't really know where his emotional state is, but here's what he has to say about the song:"To me, it represents the things we take for granted when something newer, bigger and flashier comes into our lives," Benjamin explains.Doesn't seem happy to me.You can pre-order the album here.
