Big Sean kills it with "Too Fake," the highlight off the Detroit emcee's final mixtape of his trilogy, Finally Famous Vol. 3. Philly based Chiddy Bang (Chiddy and Xaphoon Jones) provide the beat and third verse while the chorus is sampled from Hockey's single, "Too Fake."
Sean delivers a performance with more swagger than most guys have in their pinky finger. He owns it with lyrics that purposely beat him down just so he can spit back phrases like "suck my dick then choke on a nut." Why not, right? Big Sean doesn't give a fuHHH, he just lets his conquests be proven as he treks across the hiphop world with blunt banter. But what do you expect from a guy who's buying O's of greenery, comparing his love of trees to that of Avatars.
And that beat! It almost proves that indie-duo Chiddy Bang are a couple of Drexel dropouts that really didn't need an education to get them noticed. Chiddy's verse has the same fire that is heard in the rest of the song. No wonder why there's been so much buzz about this release.
A big shout out to Hockey for the hook too. Wouldn't be the same without it.
