Why do we like this?

Billie Black is a small artist from the UK with words, melodies, and soul to share with the world. We covered her Mura Masa collab last week, and this week, another track from her small but growing library has been on repeat.

"I Don't Need Another Lover" is a serious lady power R&B jam. Throwback 90s vocals a la Aaliyah or SWV come easily to the 19-year-old singer. Dense bass notes, intermittent claps, and bluesy synths make this track minimal and vocal-forward, showcasing the mature lyrics from Black.  

We don't want another lover nor another brother, boys. Deal with it.
