Thanks to all the great pop tracks on Indie Shuffle, I am slowly sinking in to a deep appreciation for the genre. It's such a beautiful, easy-to-listen-to shade of music, and even when the lyrical content is host to heavy sentiment, the overall sound keeps the listener afloat.
Singer-songwriter, Billie Eilish, does just that with her new song, "idontwannabeyouanymore." This song sails across dark oceans, rippled by waves of emotion, and yet, has just enough pause to allow one to take in the glow of the moon. The lyrical content provides depth, the gorgeous instrumentation pulls at the heart-strings and Eilish's liquid vocals lend a hand at keeping the overall feel of the song light.
