Why do we like this?

Sydney-based artist BUOY really impressed me with her debut single "Took Me Up" a couple of months ago. It was a track that really announced her as an artist to watch out for.

With her debut EP Immersion out soon, she debuted another new track earlier this week, and it's definitely well worth your time.

"Don't Want To See You" is an intriguing listen. The varied, synthy soundscape that's been built is a real journey, and it's a great contradiction when paired with BUOY's unbelievably sweet vocals. While her first track was a safer single to launch a career, her second offering is a much more adventurous listen -- a great progression for an up-and-coming artist.

The Immersion EP is due out in the coming months, make sure you're ready and waiting for it.
