Fans of sugary pop will be all over the debut single from the interestingly named Butter. Borrowing from her experiences as a ventriloquist, Mormon and actor (she's in the new Andrew Garfield flick Under the Silver Lake), the striking musician will have you up and dancing with the quirky "Lifted."
Produced by L.A. beat maker OMEGA (Iggy Azalea, Daya, Fall Out Boy), "Lifted" features a bouncy tropical influenced beat providing the ideal platform for Butter's slinky vocals. There's a touch of Sia about Butter, with "Lifted" being a dynamic bubblegum pop song bursting with flavor. Reflecting on the song Butter had this to say:
"I fell in love with this strange future pop, and immediately knew I wanted to do something with the song. “Lifted “is me reaching deep into my pop-loving soul and pulling out the weirdest shit I could find."
Butter has certainly caught my ear with this one and I'm intrigued to see what she comes up with next.
