Why do we like this?
I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite band! Calliope Musicals are a visionary group of musicians who aren't afraid to get a little zany with their music.
"Dancing Shoes" is a perfect example of their expansive experimentalism. With all the shifts and changes in this song, it's easy to see that these guys have a ton of fun making this innovative sound. All of the elements within this song play an important part, and are not to be overshadowed by each other. It's obvious that the attention to detail is important to Calliope Musicals. Though there are some quintessential sing-along sections, that's not outweighed by the calculated effects that weave in and out of this song.
