Why do we like this?
"I know a lot of things, most of which are gon' change, that comes just from growin' up learnin' love an hate is the same thing."

Plato. Marcus Aurelius. Confucius. Casey Veggies?! Well... he may not be on that level, but Young Veggies is one cool cat. Wise beyond his years, this 90s baby is only 19 years old -- but as one can quickly tell by his raps, he's quite the old soul.

Hailing from Inglewood, CA, Casey's most recent project Life Changes is a must-have for  fans of the always evolving rap game. The project is a vastly improved follow-up to his breakout tape Customized Greatly 3, and has become one of my favorite mixtapes in recent memory.

There are a number of CV jams worthy of a post, but "Love=Hate, Ulterior Motives" gets the nod due to the tight flow, bouncy beat, vibe change (at about 3 minutes and 20 seconds in), and all around listen-ability. If this one so happens to spark your interest in the Veggies' lifestyle, be sure to check out his most recent visuals for the song "Faces" to get the full effect.

Casey may be West Coast at heart, but his sound is ubiquitous. The force is strong with this Young Jedi.
