Russia's Cats Park have just released a single entitled "Safety," and it's a really refreshing take on modern downtempo trip-hop.
There's an obvious, eerie vibe that's given off throughout the entire song. Slightly atmospheric and ethereal, the combination of ominous tones and trippy synth highlights makes for a heart-wrenching style that Cats Park call their own. The vocals are piercingly clear, while the mysterious undertone of electronics gives a nice balance. There's also a slightly industrial touch to this track that seems to weave in and out, never staying for too long.
