Why do we like this?

When a song is covered and the original artist remarks, it makes their "heart smile," you know you're doing something right, as is the case with MisterWives.

The New York act's interpretation of Chance The Rapper's "Same Drugs" is delightful, with lead singer Mandy Lee’s beautiful vocals giving the song another dimension. Below is a comment the band made about taking on the song.

"Coloring Book" has been on repeat in the MW household for months now and Chance in our opinion is one of the most talented and unique artists of our generation. We couldn't help but cover a tune off the record since it's all we've been listening to and "Same Drugs" was one we gravitated towards most between the message and the musical arrangement. We hope y'all like it and Chance, if you're reading this please release the Regina Spektor version so we can die happy.
