Why do we like this?

A little over a year has passed since Montreal singer Charlotte Cardin first caught my attention with "Big Boy." She's had a few releases since then, and I've kept half an eye on them -- though it wasn't until this week that she managed to sway me over with a new one.

"Dirty Dirty" comes off her just-released Big Boy EP, and stands out as not-just-your-average modern jazz/R&B single. It's a bit of a grower, building up momentum toward an epic and emotional chorus.
