Why do we like this?

I'm a strong believer that music should be a wholly engrossing visceral experience. A good piece of music will make you think, but a great piece of music will force you feel something. It should communicate a universal human truth; highlighting the commonalities that connect us all the most basic level.

"Faufile" is one of those tracks. Regardless of whether you understand French or not, this simple, emotionally charged track will resonate with you in some way.

It's swift with a ghostly and crestfallen feel to it, and features Charlotte Cardin's crystal, jazz infused voice atop a soaring piano melody. Bare and vulnerable, there's no unnecessary production to hide behind, just pure emotion.

This track will be included in her upcoming Big Boy EP, which you can preorder on iTunes before its July 15th release.
