Panda Bear has a doppelganger, and it isn't Avey Tare. There's another neo-psychedelic kid on the block with his own set of gear.
Enter Long Island musician Cloud with his newly released single, "Wildfire." Known for experimental folk and colorful vocals, his sound conjures a gelatinous joyride for the listener.
Flattened synths pan from left to right as a cheery keyboard arpeggiates. There's an immediate fog of excitement. The artist's vocals cascade across the track like an ocean, sometimes converging into chordal vocoder tirades.
The single is a tease from Cloud's forthcoming full length album, Plays With Fire, out on March 9th. Keep your ears open for what many expect to be a gorgeous tour de force.
