Why do we like this?

I purposely held on to this one longer than I should have, my apologies to you all. 

Listening to so much new music every day has my ears jaded. They hate everything, so when it comes to any new music that's actually good (which seems to be rarer in the Fall), I tend to keep it to myself before sharing. 

"Young," by Cosmos & Creature is a folk-rock, dance-driven jam that boasts great production and excellent vocal work.

I can't tell if the tempo of the song swings up, but it feels like it. The intro is so different than the middle and the ending. This effect makes it feel like the song has taken us for a ride we definitely don't mind being on. One that started off smoothly but never stopped accelerating.

Towards the end, a choir joins in and we find ourselves chanting the catchphrase: 

"Back when we were young!"
