Cousin Kula has done it again with their second single release of 2019. Their preceding track, "Stacked," was a hit on the site this summer. Bringing that same energy, Cousin Kula has produced a catchy psych-pop anthem with heaps of character.
With influences ranging from progressive rock to disco, they've managed to seamlessly merge them; altering our perception of what indie pop can truly be. There's a special spark behind Cousin Kula's sound, and I'm sure you'll hear it when listening.
I'm a big synth-pop lady and I adore the way Cousin Kula creates mellow synth music. It's not in your face with overtly pop attributes. Rather, a smooth transition into a world of funk and psych that won't burn you out over time.
