Why do we like this?

Crewel Intentions is the name of ex-Palma Violets member Chilli Jesson's new band. With two new singles released, and an album to be released in 2019, he will be in competition with Gently Tender, another new band formed in the last year consisting of ex-Palma Violet members.

"Youth In Overload" is the band's first single and carries that signature feel good energy of the Palma Violets but with an essence of reflection and coming of age. Chilli sings "when you're laying in bed at night and you're paranoid and wired," suggesting that Chilli's state of mind right now is as it was in adolescence, confused and anxious about what the future has in store for him and his new band. 

The track features a melancholic verse and chiming guitar that builds into a highly atmospheric chorus with the ability to worm its way into your mind later in the day with ease. If this single is anything to go by, the new album will be brilliant and I can't wait!
