Why do we like this?
I'm a huge fan of RUFUS, so for a band to "remind me of them" is usually a strong tick in the positive direction.
That's not to say that Crooked Colours are riding on the coat-tails of their compatriots. Quite the contrary -- these guys have featured on Indie Shuffle countless times in the past. So yeah, they're here on their own merits. And also they've got a good sound (and so does RUFUS).
The trio behind Crooked Colours will be releasing a new album called Langata later this year, and "Hold On" serves as the latest taste. Hopefully the general feel of the album is similar to this song.
