Why do we like this?
Hawt damn, it's time for a Daughter remix, and an Indie Shuffle exclusive premiere at that. Lane 8, aka Daniel Goldstein, is still coming off the success of his recently released tune "Be Mine" via Anjunadeep. This young San Francisco-based gent is yet again showing his talent, this time via remix.
Goldstein uses light atmospherical notes and a clean bass line to graduate "Youth" from a hungover Sunday to a late Friday night. Daughter's dulcet vocals are left to fill the air over a progressive melodic build. As the beat pairs down for a little respite, "we are the reckless, we are the wild youth" plays repeatedly, tucking in to the track's lightly fading end. Fortunately for us, someone created the repeat button so we can experience this glory of a remix over and over again.
