I feared this day would come: that the sound of Mk.gee would soon become the thing everyone copied, with only two years since his classic, Two Star & The Dream Police. But I will say... I respect the justice done to the sound. DNCR, with only two songs released, is already demanding attention with a guitar-led track that feels like an instant end-of-the-day song. The track settles in with an effortless hypnosis, feeling familiar without losing its identity. If this is any indication of what DNCR has in store, there’s plenty of reason to keep an ear out.
