Why do we like this?
Parisian label Antinote has quietly been building a reputation as a go-to label. A unifying theme across their releases has been an excellent use of melody, from D.K.'s "Marimba Theme" through to today's featured track, Domenique Dumont's "Comme Ça."
"Comme Ça" is simply a great piece of pop writing, and even if you don't understand the lyrics, you can still appreciate the sounds used. It almost has a slight Caribbean feel to it, with steel drums reminiscent of Grace Jones' "My Jamaican Guy."
