Why do we like this?
Sometimes it feels like I associate every random beat I hear with J Dilla, hoping that one day it will actually be Jay Dee putting out the good vibes again. That's not fair to the masses of bedroom producers grinding beneath that shadow. So it goes.
"Feathers," a solemn, soulful instrumental with one hell of a sample, is the first new music I've heard from Polish producer Eeves in roughly in a year. So in that sense we're still dealing with a return, and for me it's a welcome one.
