Why do we like this?

This is one of those tracks that seems very straightforward in the beginning. With a radio friendly intro, you expect it to be a poppy, lash-batting R&B track you can throw on as background music.

But then...what did he just say? Did he just compare the object of his affection to bruschetta?

This tongue-in-cheek track is full of quirky little elements that take you by surprise. It'll make you laugh, bob your head and think, "what?" It's charming in its alternative approach to the typical boy-meets-girl narrative, capturing all the playful awkwardness of youth.

Aside from the personality, Ehiorobo is clearly a talented and witty artist, fusing hip-hop and jazz influences with his idiosyncratic storytelling. You can listen to the rest of his stream-of-consciousness, refreshingly honest music here
