The Swedes continue to dominate the pop market and the latest artist from the Scandinavian region to make her mark is Ellen Krauss.
Having been awarded Rookie Artist of the Year at the Denniz Pop Awards in Sweden, the 19-year-old is a self-taught musician with bundles of talent, as displayed with her latest single.
"Criminal To Love" is a tale of a one-sided relationship that highlights Krauss' impressive vocal range. Over a sliding guitar riff, Krauss delivers the personal tale with her unique and vibrant voice, full of emotion and longing. Speaking on the track Krauss had this to say;
'Criminal to Love' is about unfair love. You know that feeling when you give more than you get. I think a lot about why we often get attracted to people who are not good for us. The heart always seems to get its way in the end. It's weird. Destructive love is strangely attractive and before you know it you are in the middle of it.
This is a fantastic tune and my first introduction to Krauss. If you're digging this as much as I am, be sure to check out her other releases here.
