Fold

Fold is a group that genuinely cares about our world—particularly the systems that shape it. Their music always has a message for the times and often honors key figures. The pay homage to the past while still being visionaries of the future.  Their latest single, "Resistance, Refusal, Ridicule," is no exception. The soundscape is rich and evocative, with its message powerfully underscored by political messaging strategist Anat Shenker-Osorio. What strikes me most is how my own ideologies contrast so sharply with the song’s message. As someone who values meditation over activism, there's a clear divergence in approach. Yet both paths meet at a common point: the desire to bring some kind of benefit to the world—one through inward reflection, the other through outward action. Ultimately, it's a reminder that there are many ways to contribute, and all of them are rooted in care.
