Fontaines D.C. - I Don't Belong

Why do we like this?

Since this song doesn’t have much of a blaring sound or loud vocals, it’s more relaxed for a punk track. But don’t mistake it for being sluggish...

There's still loads of energy bursting out of the group. In fact, it’s cool to see how the band maintains their edge as they experiment with slower tempos. Even though the rhythm feels more on the mellow side, they've definitely got a rebellious nature to them.

It wouldn't be rock if the band neglected their drums and guitar, but the band continued to incorporate sharp chords.

Fontaines D.C. is from Dublin, Ireland, which you may figure out for yourself since the lead vocalist’s Irish accent sneaks its way into the song. Their new album, A Hero’s Death, which the band describes as “a heady and philosophical take on the modern world, and its great uncertainty,” will come out on July 31st.
