It's been nearly 7 years since Kurt Vile won me over with "Pretty Pimpin'." Heck, I'd kinda forgotten about the song until Forest Ray came along and brought it back to the forefront.The Seattle-based band's latest single "Always" blends smooth psychedelic folk, slide guitars, and an easy-going vocal delivery together to pull off a lovely little indie rock track that I reckon is worthy of a listen or three.The band are gearing up to go on tour early this year (2022). I don't think I've written anything along those lines since uh... 2019. But yeah, I figured it was worth mentioning because it feels great to see bands getting back on the road. Hopefully they enjoy themselves :)
