Why do we like this?
It took a little old-school alternative, a little Rilo Kiley, and some dynamic contrast to put together “Nevermine,” a great single from Sub Pop’s Forth Wanderers.
It is the opening track on the band’s forthcoming, self-titled album and should do well getting people to give them a listen. The song is catchy and poppy while contemplative. The melody is enchanting and Ava Trilling’s voice and lyrics fit hand in glove with Ben Guterl’s composition. The pairing of the two seems perfect and is expanded by great instrument play from other members of the band.
