Friend Within is an alias out of London that was ironically recognized throughout SoundCloud as "Unknown." While we still don't know who is actually the man (or woman?) behind the mask, we do know that s/he was credited through Disclosure's recent XLR8R podcast with great fanfare.
"The Cause" is a melting pot of soulful R&B-inspired vocals layered on top of fluid synth and bold, bouncing house electronics. But don't let my description of these various genres fool you "“ all of these elements fuse together to launch a style that is all its own. Whether you listen to this track in an underground London nightclub or through your headphones in a San Francisco train station, you're gonna want to groove and get down.
