Why do we like this?

Dutch producer Frits Wentink has been winning lots of admirers with his off-kilter take on house music. "Blaise Montoya," from his latest EP on Wolf Music ,might just be his best yet.

Featuring the vocals of Loes Jongerling, "Blaise Montoya" is a fat-slab of swinging, soulful house. It's a genre that's been widely done -- but Wentink's idiosyncratic approach breathes new life into the well-worn sound.
