Why do we like this?
A track featuring Active Child? Yes please. When I saw this new track by Gilbere Forte come through the wire featuring Active Child, it was a no-brainer to give this one a listen.
Even though we first saw Gilbere Forte appear last year with his single "Pray," this is my first glimpse of the Philly hip-hop artist. I must say, I am a fan of Mr. Forte at this point.
"Nolita" is slower hip-hop ballad that features the hard-to-miss harp sounds of Active Child and the impeccable vocals of Pat Grossi. Gilbere's flows on the new track are equally praiseworthy.
"Nolita" is the second single from Forte's upcoming project, Pray, which is due out May 15, 2013.
