Two years ago, I heard this track on a mix by Cooper Saver (check it here) and fell in love. Surprisingly, it isn't already on Indie Shuffle, so here I am, writing this long overdue post.
The original "Silk" by Giselle is absolutely lovely, but this remix really broadens the sound with warm synths and a stronger beat. The result is smooth, velvety lushness and airy depth. On sunny afternoons, I often put this track on repeat and cat nap by the window.
Los Angeles-based duo Cosmic Kids is Ron Poznansky and Daniel Terndrup, though Ron is currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their remix repertoire is impressive and includes Holy Ghost!, Poolside, and Harvard Bass, to name a few, and their originals excite me. We can expect a full EP from them in the near future.
