Why do we like this?
London residing Spaniard Gizmo Varillas has been one of 2016's biggest surprises. His two singles, the 60's influenced "Give A Little Love" and Paul Simon-esque "Freedom For A Change," are great examples of folk tinged indie.
As the year draws to an end Varillas has one more trick up his sleeve with the moody "Shadows Of The Dark." Channeling Jose Gonzalez, Gizmo croons softly over flamenco styled guitar picking, with "Shadows Of The Dark" showcasing a darker side to Varillas music.
All three songs are a great example of what we can expect from Varillas' debut, El Dorado, set for release January 27 next year.
