British quartet Glass Animals have put out another thoughtful, lovely track called "Black Mambo," which will be featured on an upcoming two-track release.
"Black Mambo" is bubbling with mysterious possibility. And, yes it's definitely seductive, but it offers a more evocative piece of storytelling that elevates the piece. The intro successfully lures the listener in, but it's with a wink to a game that seems not at all one sided. That nod makes me find this track so much more endearing, and I'm complicit in whatever advance is developing.
There is no enormous drop in this song. It persists with a more lilting kind of vigor, and we should applaud them for that choice. A perfect track for a lazy weekend still unfolding!
Glass Animals is touring in Europe, so us Americans will have to wait for now!
