Remix lord Akouo has done it again, remixing the instant classic house track "Unmissable" by Gorgon City, transforming it into a wompy future-bass track with a wickedly satisfying rhythm, a multitude of sounds, and utterly enticing laters.
We've seen the Tasmanian artist go from strength to strength lately, with his brilliant remixes of Safia, Thied, Indian Summer, and Zhu.
To be honest, I really prefer this song to the original. Mostly because it's just so much more interesting, there's so much more to discover, there's just so much more happening in terms of sound and style. Akouo has brought the track to a completely new level by adding diversity, syncopation, and some around-the-campfire tribal drums, which would sound incredible at a live show.
Akouo's debut EP Mesa introduced him to the world, and if you're lucky enough to live in Aus, you can catch him this week at EMC Play, or over New Years at Falls Festival.
