Gorillaz New Gold (Ft. Tame Impala and Bootie Brown)

Like its namesake, "New Gold" drips style, energy, vibes, and an utterly funky sense of exhilaration.

Gorillaz has given us multiple variations on the funk genre with their Song Machine excursion ( "Desole" is go-to soul-funk for me) but "New Gold" is an exhilarating collab between them, Tame Impala, and Bootie Brown and I don't know if melting gold has ever been given a soundtrack, but this better be on the playlist.

The track is smooth, easy, and has a 2000's bop to it that I haven't heard since Demon Days' "Dare" - the track might be a bit slower than your classic Gorillaz sound, but hell if this sound isn't the perfect soul-food I'd rather starve!
